I’m in a more rural part of my state and discovered that the county I’m in has a white unmarked ‘92 Crown Victoria still on daily patrol duty. Luckily I was only speeding a little bit, so he didn’t bother going after me.
It looked exactly like this, except it was a ‘92 and had a yellow sticker of some sort on the back bumper and an assortment of antennas.

Yesterday I learned that the Edmond OK police department has a completely unmarked grey 2013+ charger on aftermarket wheels... the only indicator is one antenna on the trunk. Other than that, it looks just like any other charger on the road :(

I know some jurisdictions use older cars as radio repeaters. They’ll just park them out to extend the range of their system. They use them for man hunts or events.

Dumbbbbbbbb, that’s somewhat annoying.
Do they use civilian licence plates or regular licence plates?

Yellow sticker by me usually mears NC motor pool or motor fleet management which is just the cars used by state government employees.

It was absolutely covered in antennas, so I wouldn’t doubt it.

It was a rectangular yellow sticker in the middle left side of the rear bumper.
Now if it was a Caprice 9c1, I would have chased it down and taken pictures.

What state?

Right now I’m in Ga, though I don’t live here.

It could habe been a period correct seat belt promoting sticker or a crime hotline.

That’s what I was thinking. It was in really nice shape, so it might have been an administrative car or something also.
Kinda cool they’d use a 23 year old car on regular patrol though.

The police by me started driving 2015 Nissan Altima SL’s.

We still have an unmarked 2001 White Yukon roaming the interstate here... He just busts commercial vehicles as far as I can tell.

Oh, one of those things. They don’t scare me after I slow down.

Yeah. I was not aware until I saw it with sirens and lights.

Do you even know if it was a real cop?
I wouldn’t pull over for an Altima........ I’d call and make sure it’s actually a cop first.

It was. He went to close off a road because of an accident. EMS vehicles were following close behind.

He may have been off duty and was just helping out?
Officers near me are allowed to stick light sand sirens in their cars for emergency purposes only. I’ve seen a Jeep Grand Cherokee and a Mazda 6 with lights and sirens helping do things while off duty.

I believe on the charger they used civilian ones... the Campus Police use civilian spec chargers with civilian plates (and regular interiors too!), just with bull bars and radios and lights. They are even REAL POLICE!
